Un feliz día de playa disfrutaron los alumnos de Pre-Kínder durante una soleada mañana en el Liceo Boston. En la actividad recreativa los niños participaron en diversos juegos en la arenera.
Beach-like Day
Pre-K students enjoyed a happy day at the beach during a sunny morning at school. During recreational activity children participated in various games in the sandbox.

Convivencias de Pre - Kínder, Kínder y Transición
|
|
|
Con gran entusiasmo los alumnos Pre-kínder, Kínder y Transición participaron en las Convivencias realizadas durante la semana anterior.
La convivencia tuvo como eje temático la Teología de la Creación: buscar a Dios en los elementos naturales mediante una actividad teórico práctica, donde los niños intercambiaron experiencias lúdicas y reflexivas acordes con su proceso de aprendizaje y desarrollo.
El grupo Shekiná acompañó la Convivencia, facilitando momentos de recreación y encuentro espiritual con énfasis en las cualidades de Jesús: el amor, la ternura y la bondad.

Pre - K, K, and transition Spiritual Renewal
|
|
|
With great enthusiasm students from Pre-k, K, and transition participated in their spiritual renewal during the previous week.
The activity had as its theme the theology of creation: look for God in the natural elements through a theoretical-practical activity, where the children exchanged fun and reflexive experiences according to their process of learning and development.
The Shekinah group accompanied the spiritual renewal, providing moments of recreation and spiritual encounter with emphasis on Jesus’ virtues: love, tenderness and kindness.

A buena marcha avanza el proyecto de Huerta Comunitaria que el Liceo Boston ha venido adelantando desde comienzos del periodo escolar. Este proyecto promueve la alimentación saludable, la educación con énfasis en responsabilidad ambiental y ecológica, así como la creación de vínculos entre alumnos y trabajadores.
Gracias a la experiencia inicial en el invernadero, los estudiantes han logrado experimentar una nueva forma de acercarse al conocimiento, intercambiando experiencias y saberes donde se valora el trabajo en equipo y la ayuda mutua.

Actualmente nuestros estudiantes se encuentran analizando el suelo con el propósito de concluir cuáles serán las mejores hortalizas a cultivar, teniendo en cuenta el impacto del clima en el proceso de siembra.

The community orchard project from Boston school has been advancing at a good pace since the beginning of the school year. This project promotes healthy eating, education with an emphasis on environmental and ecological responsibility as well as the creation of links between students and workers.
Due to the initial experience in the greenhouse, the students have managed to experience a new way of approaching knowledge, exchanging experiences and knowledge is appreciated where teamwork and mutual aid.
Our students are currently analyzing the soil in order to conclude what will be the best vegetables to grow, taking into account the impact of the climate in the planting process.

El programa hace énfasis en la importancia de los valores para fortalecer en los jóvenes las posibilidades de llegar a ser adultos felices, aportando a la sociedad que carece de hábitos, buenas costumbres, virtudes, principios morales y éticos.
Las conferencias han sido orientadas por el teólogo de la Universidad Javeriana, Juan Anderson Mayorquín, y el Capellán del Liceo Boston, Francisco Javier García

High school students are participating in a series of forums on the theory of values, generating spaces for personal and collective learning on the art of love and our school institutional values.
Scheduled talkings emphasize the importance of values to strengthen the possibilities of becoming happy adults, contributing to society which lacks habits, good manners, moral and ethical principles in young people.
The conferences have been guided by the theologian of the Universidad Javeriana, John Anderson Mayorquín, and the school’s chaplain, priest Francisco Javier Garcia.

To be a teacher is my passion, my real vocation. I feel that my goal is to shape the student´s, mind like baking a cake. You have to put all the ingredients together to make a delicious cake at the end. The same happens when you teach children; you mix all the abilities, aptitudes, colors, games, knowledge and personalities in order to raise a good child.
You need to teach with love, you need to be a friend of your students, to let them be free, to explore their personalities and their talents, as an individual person.
I want to be a nice teacher, I want to grow with my students, to teach them with love and finally live in their hearts forever.

Jesús necesita formar un grupo de seguidores, previendo que otros deberán continuar su obra. Y los busca entre personas comunes, pero generosas. Y llamó a Simón y a Andrés, a Juan y a Santiago. Ellos, al encontrarse con la mirada diáfana, fascinante de un hombre en quien no había maldad, ni engaño, sino bondad y deseo de liberar de esclavitudes, dejan sus barcas y lo siguen con el deseo de ser pescadores de hombres.
El discípulo de Jesús no es alguien que se defina por haber dejado algo, sino por haber encontrado a Alguien. La renuncia es recompensada con creces por la ganancia. Jesús crea en él una nueva y rica personalidad y se siente amado y valorado.
Para seguir a Jesús se necesita creer en lo que Él creyó, dar importancia a lo que Él le dijo, defender la causa que Él defendió, mirar a las personas como Él las miró, amar como Él amó, confiar en el Padre como Él confió.

Nosotros somos la prolongación de la presencia de Jesús hoy. Somos sus manos que bendecían, sus ojos que veían claro dónde estaba el bien o el mal, sus pies que se dirigían adonde lo necesitaban y su corazón que amaba intensamente. Hoy el Señor me llama a acompañar, a vender heridas, a enjuagar lágrimas, devolviendo alegría e ilusiones a quienes están enfermos del alma o del cuerpo.
A veces, como Jonás, eludimos responsabilidades y dejamos que el error y el mal sigan haciéndonos daño. Nuestra vida es breve y no podemos desperdiciarla adorando ídolos o a nosotros mismos, sino llenando nuestras manos con obras de servicio y de amor por nuestros hermanos. Así habremos ayudado a tantas personas y no habremos desperdiciado nuestros días.

Jesus needs to form a group of followers, anticipating that others should continue His work. And the search among ordinary people, but generous. And He called Simon and Andrew, John and James. They, when finding the clear, fascinating look of a man in whom there was no malice, or deceit, but goodness and desire for free from slavery, leave their boats and follow Him with the desire to be fishers of men.
The disciple of Jesus is not someone to be defined by having left something, but for having found someone. The resignation is rewarded more with what is gained. Jesus creates a new and rich personality and you feel loved and valued.
To go to Jesus we need to believe in what he believed, to give importance to what he said, defending the cause He defended, to look to people as He watched them, love as he loved, trust in the father as He trusted.
We are an extension of the presence of Jesus today. We are His hands that blessed; His eyes that saw clearly where there was good or evil; his feet heading where someone needed Him and His heart that loved intensely. Today the Lord called me to accompany, to heal the wound, rinse tears, giving back joy and dreams to those who are sick of the soul or body.
Sometimes, like Jonah, we avoid responsibilities and let that evil and error continue hurting us. Our life is short and we cannot squander it worshipping idols or ourselves, but by filling out our hands with works of service and love for our brothers. So we will have helped so many people and we will have not wasted our time.

The art of loving is the name of the lecture that has been addressed during these days within the LIFE PROJECT class time. This activity has led to a reflection on the experience of our institutional values, especially in the way they are as reflected in the expression of love.
Learning to love and knowing to develop the art of loving is the task that everyone must comply in all areas in which we live along.
Love involves a path that starts from the knowledge of ourselves, own appreciation and assessment of the other to encourage good interpersonal relationships and our own life project through honest, respect, responsibility and solidarity.
The art of loving is cultivated with the proper development of affective and emotional skills, accepting the difference, treating others well, practicing charity and justice, on the premise that "if I do not love myself, who will love me?”

The message sums up in applying the divine precept: "those who love God love his brother as well"; not loving by word but by work and by truth, namely by heart. “If we do love each other, God stands in us."
