IMPLICACIONES ACADÉMICAS DE LAS SALIDAS PEDAGÓGICAS

Las SALIDAS PEDAGÓGICAS están enfocadas al desarrollo de competencias científicas, sociales y ciudadanas; en las que a través de la lúdica ambiental y la vivencia de experiencias, pretendemos orientar a los estudiantes en el proceso de conocimiento y disfrute de nuestro paisaje natural, cultural y social. |

Recordamos que esta actividad hace parte del plan general de estudios del Colegio, por lo tanto, en la semana del 8 al 12 de febrero se iniciará el trabajo académico relacionado con esta actividad, el cual comprende:
1. Guía de ambientación y preparación para cada una de las salidas.
2. Guías de trabajo para desarrollar durante la Salida.
3. Presentación final: montaje de la exposición “Colombia through the eyes of our kids” que se realizará en el marco del Art Festival. Los alumnos plasmarán su experiencia en un trabajo artístico (fotografía, murales, maquetas, videos, etc.).
Las guías y la exposición harán parte fundamental del proceso valorativo del tercer bimestre en las asignaturas de Ciencias Naturales, Ciencias Sociales, Matemáticas, Español, Inglés y Artísticas.
Los alumnos que no participen en la Salida Pedagógica deben asistir al Colegio en los horarios habituales para desarrollar guías y trabajos adicionales relacionados con los temas que se abordarán durante la actividad.
Es importante que los padres de familia apoyen y motiven a sus hijos para participar en la Salida Pedagógica, ya que hace parte del proceso académico del tercer bimestre.

Jueves 4 de febrero
DÍA SIN CARRO
|
|
|
El jueves 4 de febrero ha sido decretado como el Día sin Carro, por lo tanto, el Colegio brindará el servicio de transporte a los alumnos y demás miembros de la Comunidad Educativa que no utilizan los buses de la Institución.
Para tal propósito solicitamos diligenciar el desprendible del Data Express N° 90 y entregarlo a más tardar el martes 2 de febrero en las Secretarías de Nivel o la Coordinación de Transporte. |

Por razones logísticas, de capacidad y de seguridad en las rutas, el Colegio no se compromete a prestar dicho servicio después de esta fecha, por lo tanto, agradecemos realizar el trámite oportunamente.

Modelo Asamblea Javeriana Territorial

La Javeriana exalta participación del Boston
La Universidad Javeriana hizo un reconocimiento al Liceo Boston por su destacada participación en el III Modelo de Asamblea Javeriana Territorial, evento que se realizó del 6 al 8 de mayo de 2009.
La Institución resaltó la labor desempeñada por el profesor Juan Jesús Durán como delegado del departamento de Norte de Santander y felicitó a los estudiantes Camilo Meléndez y Daniel Henao, elegidos como presidente de la Comisión “Democracia Local” y vicepresidente en la Comisión “Conflicto y Seguridad” para el IV Modelo de Asamblea Javeriana Territorial, a celebrarse en el 2010.

La actividad se realizó el jueves 28 de enero en el Coliseo del Colegio.

In all his activity as an educator, pastor and founder, Don Bosco showed a great ability for dialogue and for sharing responsibility with even the youngest of his collaborators; for harmonizing in apostolic and missionary work the talents of the most widely differing persons for the good of the whole enterprise; for finding for each individual a work suited to his character, his skills and his formation, in such a way that each one felt happy in what he was doing.
He was aware of the need for cooperative charity in educational and pastoral service, and knew that the Holy Spirit raises up charisms for the benefit of the whole Church and for the common good and usage. The talents of each one are there for the good of all, and the ability to find collaborators renders the work more efficacious.

Don Bosco wrote: "At all times it has been considered that union between good people was necessary in order to help one another to do good and to keep far away from evil. If a piece of string is taken by itself it is easily broken, but when three pieces are plaited together they are more difficult to break. When weak forces are united they become strong: Vis unita fortior, funiculus triplex difficile rumpitur.

Observance of rules was obtained by instilling a true sense of duty, by removing assiduously all occasions for disobedience, and by allowing no effort towards virtue, how trivial soever it might be, to pass unappreciated. He held that the teacher should be father, adviser, and friend, and he was the first to adopt the preventive method. Of punishment he said: "As far as possible avoid punishing . . . try to gain love before inspiring fear." And in 1887 he wrote: "I do not remember to have used formal punishment; and with God's grace I have always obtained, and from apparently hopeless children, not alone what duty exacted, but what my wish simply expressed." In one of his books he has discussed the causes of weakness of character, and derives them largely from a misdirected kindness in the rearing of children. Parents make a parade of precocious talents: the child understands quickly, and his sensitiveness enraptures all who meet him, but the parents have only succeeded in producing an affectionate, perfected, intelligent animal.

The chief object should be to form the will and to temper the character. In all his pupils Don Bosco tried to cultivate a taste for music, believing it to be a powerful and refining influence. "Instruction", he said, "is but an accessory, like a game; knowledge never makes a man because it does not directly touch the heart. It gives more power in the exercise of good or evil; but alone it is an indifferent weapon, wanting guidance." He always studied, too, the aptitudes and vocations of his pupils, and to an almost supernatural quickness and clearness of insight into the hearts of children must be ascribed no small part of his success. In his rules he wrote: "Frequent Confession, frequent Communion, daily Mass: these are the pillars which should sustain the whole edifice of education." Don Bosco was an indefatigable confessor, devoting days to the work among his children. He recognized that gentleness and persuasion alone were not enough to bring to the task of education. He thoroughly believed in play as a means of arousing childish curiosity — more than this, he places it among his first recommendations, and for the rest he adopted St. Philip Neri's words: "Do as you wish, I do not care so long as you do not sin."

MY PERCEPTION ABOUT COLOMBIA'S CAPITAL CITY, BOGOTA

Bogota is a city with many different aspects, rules, good and bad things. Visitors can enjoy different things like typical food, cultural places, theme parks and many other fun things. The cool thing about Bogotá is that you can find a place for everyone and also many kinds of different people who always are willing to help you and be nice with you.

|
| Now let’s talk about the rules and laws in Bogotá. One of the bad things about Bogotá is the mayor and the people who are in charge of it who steal money from our city and promise things that can’t be accomplished, for example, our current mayor promised that he was going to make a metro and when he got elected he said that he couldn’t do it. On the other hand, we can also talk about some of our former mayors who made good rules for example one big change in the city was the “Trasmilenio” which is a massive way of transportation that people use to move through the city, or the “Ciclovia” which are some of the city’s main streets and freeways that get closed to let people ride bicycles, skates or even people jogging have fun and do exercise. |

Now I’m going to talk about the people who should make the government’s laws be obeyed. These people are the officers that instead of making this happen are just more corrupted than the very government, most of them are lazy and only want to get paid for doing nothing, when a crime is happening they do whatever they want and just make up different things that don’t have anything to do with the real ones and they tell that to the media, one example of this is the way they hurt and kill people in pacific protests, they must protect people, not hurt them that’s a policeman’s job, but unfortunately that’s not the case here in Bogotá.

In the last years Bogota has been under a massive construction of buildings which is bad because 20 years ago Bogotá was a place with a lot of nature. Now this got replaced by houses, buildings and high risers. More buildings mean more people, more people means more cars, and more cars mean more pollution which is another issue that has been affecting the city through the last few years, there’s is another good law in Bogotá which is the “NO car day” which is a full day in which people can’t use their cars and have to use different ways of transportation which is good because contamination decreases on this day and people learn to use different ways of transportation that can be used instead of cars which contaminate a lot. |

Now let’s talk about how some people in Bogotá follow the rules and some don’t care about what happens to our city, they throw garbage to the floor, destroy public places and tend to thrash everything, but this is actually not their fault, it is the government’s fault because they don’t care about money for education schools and places where people can learn to be better persons and only spend all the money in arms and pointless things that do not help the city to get better.
Hopefully, there’s good people that might change the city someday which help poor people and make campaigns to make this city a better place for everyone. For example, the teachers that teach poor people and don’t expect to get paid or the ones that help picking up garbage trying to make this city a cleaner place. Those are the kind of people that may change Bogotá one day and make it a better place for everyone every day.

La pedagogía es la ciencia que permite al ser humano educarse para contribuir y desenvolverse en la sociedad.
La tarea del maestro de preescolar se debe realizar desde una perspectiva analítica, critica y reflexiva que conlleve a desarrollar estrategias pertinentes para permitir el aprendizaje significativo del niño.
Es importante hacer un alto en el camino para innovar de manera creativa, ética y responsable en cuanto al aprendizaje que se va llevando en el aula, para que la propuesta curricular caracterizada como abierta exija la participación de los maestros en el desarrollo de la misma. El maestro preescolar tiene que hacer una previsión fundada de los distintos componentes curriculares (objetivos, contenidos, metodología, recursos, evaluación, organización espacial y temporal,.. y adaptarlas a sus condiciones concretas y a las de sus alumnos.

Finalmente la importancia de convertir el aprendizaje en un modelo nuevo, flexible y atractivo para los niños y niñas deja consigo mismo herramientas destinadas a conocer las características específicas de los infantes con los cuales se va a establecer una relación educativa. Implica tratar de localizar intereses, motivaciones, conceptos previos, relaciones con los compañeros; así como sus dificultades.
